Elance Proposal Introduction

This blog post was put together so you can get to know me a bit better, and actually understand who I am and where I’m coming from. Why didn’t I do this in the actual proposal? Because the character limit is so short that I usually have a hard time fitting in exactly what I want to say! Anyways, back to why you’re here..

My History, Experience & Philosophies

I’ve been working with the web for a little under 10 years now. I take advantage of many different traffic sources for my own sites, as well as client sites, but ranking highly in organic search is certainly one of the most important and effective ways to bring in ultra-targeted traffic.

Since it’s so important, I’ve spent a lot of time gaining experience with what works and what doesn’t. This has included building different kinds of links, using certain on-site optimization techniques, figuring out what Google Search Bots appreciate seeing, learning crafty ways to get links indexed, and so on.

Successful Strategies = Successful Projects

I’d say that I have a fairly extensive repertoire of successful strategies that I’ve built up over the years, that can help bring us that much closer to that elusive front page listing.

As I’m sure you already know, hiring someone for their SEO skills can be tricky. This is mostly due to the greedy scammers, and workers from India that offer $99 “all-in-one” SEO packages that end of getting you absolutely no where, or even penalized in some cases.

To be honest, I look at search engine optimization as a delicate process. Using the correct strategies, at the right time, can give you that extra edge most sites need in the rankings.

My strategies take time to implement, which I feel is one of the most important factors in a SEO campaign: timing. I’ve been there, done that when it comes to rushing the process along. This only creates headaches, and in most cases, ends up wasting time.

How I Usually Start Off A Project

The best course of action (in most cases) is an initial setup and optimization period, where I get to know what type of goals you’re looking to accomplish in the short-term, on into the future. Once we make sure the on-site optimization looks it, it’s time to lay out all of the research, and our expectations for the project.

Once the research and optimization is taken care of, it’s time for me to start up the slow, but steady diverse link building campaign that will ultimately fuel our results.

I can absolutely go into more details about my techniques, including different links and strategies I prefer to build, but aren’t long-term results what really matter in the end?

Feel free to hop back over to Elance now, to view the rest of my proposal. Thanks, and I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me a little better!
